Growing, competing on international markets and at the same time remaining deeply connected to our land.<\/p>\n
This is the model we described with Roots and Future, the event that took place on Thursday, February 5, in our Conference Room in Santa Maria La Palma.<\/p>\n
An opportunity to come together and share a journey: that of Cantina Santa Maria La Palma, a cooperative that has been working with more than 300 winegrowers in northwestern Sardinia for over sixty years, transforming wine into economic, social, and environmental value for the entire community.<\/p>\n
A cooperative model that creates real value<\/p>\n
Today, the winery has around 800 hectares of vineyards, over 100 employees and collaborators, and a consolidated presence on international markets, with almost 8 million bottles sold worldwide and a turnover of close to \u20ac28 million.<\/p>\n
But for us, growth does not mean moving the value produced elsewhere. On the contrary, it means leaving it here, in the local area.<\/p>\n
In the period 2021-2025, we have redistributed over \u20ac30 million to our winegrowing members, including \u20ac8 million in the last year alone. These resources become income for farming families, stability for businesses, and strength for the entire wine industry in Alghero and Nurra.<\/p>\n

Added to this is the impact on employment: in the last five years, we have hired 23 permanent employees, investing in young professionals.<\/p>\n

Novecento59: memory and vision in a glass<\/p>\n

During the evening, we presented Novecento59, our new Metodo Classico sparkling wine made from Vermentino di Sardegna grapes.<\/p>\n
A wine that comes from one of the region’s iconic grape varieties and whose name tells our story: 1959, the year the winery was founded.<\/p>\n
Elegant, distinctive, profound: Novecento59 represents the meeting point between what we have been and what we want to become. Roots firmly planted in our land, with an open view to the future.<\/p>\n

300 winegrowers, a great history: the voices of the winegrowers<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Roots and Future was also a story. With the screening of the documentary Storie di Cantina (Winery Stories), we gave space to the voices of our winegrower members: women and men who work in the vineyards every day and make all this possible.<\/p>\n
The meeting was also attended by representatives of institutions and the local area, confirming the strong and concrete bond between the winery and the communities in which it operates.<\/p>\n
