Wine species with red berries, cultivated on deep, medium-calcareous soils suitably exposed to the sun, where its peculiar characteristics are best expressed.

Flavour: dry and warm, pleasantly soft and delicate to the palate, properly full-bodied and persistent.
Serving suggestion: good with first courses and dishes of white and red meat stewed and roast.
