Cagnulari Alghero DOC Riserva
Recònta rises from the calcareous lands of Usini and Villassunta, where the autochthonous vine Cagnulari, reaches an optimal maturation. The soil is white but nearly waterless, rich in limestone and rich in minerals, which are necessary to sustain the development of the plant. These pedoclimatic conditions allow the Cagnulari to fully express the typical herbaceous perfumes and scents of the Mediterranean territory, developing its organoleptic characteristics in the best possible way.
The grapes are harvested by hand in the first week of October and fermented in steel containers for circa 18 days. Then, the wine is left to age into French oak barriques from
Allier forests for 14 months. After this process, the wine continues its maturation in steel containers.
